About Paul Bunton

Paul Bunton founded BCA Architects, an architectural design firm based in San Jose, California, in 1988 when he was twenty-nine years old. In the intervening years, the firm has grown to encompass four offices in California and employs approximately thirty staff members. As chief executive officer, Paul Bunton personally oversees the firm’s design projects, which over the firm's history account for more than one billion dollars of construction and include designs for public and private schools, healthcare and religious institutions, commercial properties, and other clients. Some of the firm’s prominent design projects include the performing arts center and library at Chula Vista High School, which was recognized with an ABC San Diego Award of Excellence, and Christopher High School, part of Gilroy Unified School District, which earned the firm Learning by Design Architectural Recognition.

A registered architect in California and member of the American Institute of Architects, Paul Bunton holds a bachelor of architecture from Kansas State University. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and keeping fit by biking and hiking.
